Assignment #6:

I have had my eyes opened to so many things that I have never really considered before when it comes to diet and nutrition. Have you ever wondered how healthy eating guidelines are established? How did fast food chains like McDonald's make it into foreign countries? These are things I would have never thought about when it come to diet and nutrition.

Check out these helpful resources to gain some new insight. There is a multitude of media options included so you may have to look up some books :)

A Path to Change

What started as an assignment for my health and wellnes capstone, turned into something completely different. I had a complete change in my mindset a while back. What started as choosing a better diet and exercise moved to becoming a certified personal trainer through the NSCA in an amazing program at Parkland College where I got into even better shape. I started to train college athletes and general clients. It almost became addicting to what I was able to accomplish with my body and share that with others. From there I embarked on a degree in Health and Wellness to expand my knowledge even farther. I hope that this becomes a resource for anyone looking to improve their health and wellness.
